Education . I will read and analyze policy changes and listen to learn from those with differing opinions to do what I know will be best for our students, teachers, staff, parents, and other shareholders. Education I will take time to be in the schools to further my own understanding of the concerns of parents and students, the problems and challenges that teachers are facing, and to support the solutions that are working. Education I will be an engaged and participating member of the school board, concerned with what is said and done at school board meetings, both during the working, public, and executive portions. Education I want to help our professional teachers and educators fulfill the visions and goals that they have in their classrooms. They are the real mentors and builders of our future, and they know how to prepare our students to fulfill their potential in the real world. Education I want to help create and rework policy that will help build students with a well-rounded education that will in turn fill and meet the needs in our future workforce, while still maintaining the traditional values of our communities. Education I will be approachable for students, teachers, staff, administration, parents, and other shareholders. Being approachable is important, but something that is said by every candidate for a board or political position. Education I will be there listening to understand, not listening to respond, and I will make various methods available to contact me. I will visit with and talk to teachers, parents, and administrators. Education I am not running with an agenda, but with the intent to do good and to support and improve education in Duchesne County.
