Past Experience
Waynette Bonham is all about bringing people together and turning ideas into action. With a background in tech support for the VA, EPA, and Blue Cross Blue Shield, she’s mastered the art of problem-solving, listening, and making complex systems work better—skills she’s eager to bring to Tarrant’s City Council.
She’s worked with several organizations dedicated to uplifting and empowering the community, including the Offender Alumni Association (OAA), Helping Families Initiative, Tarrant Crime Commission, and Yellowhammer Fund. Waynette’s also rolled up her sleeves for city events like Trunk or Treat, baseball field cleanups, and local craft circles, with a heart for turning Ford Avenue into a vibrant community space with farmers markets, food trucks, music, and more.
Even if she’s still ironing out the details, her direction is clear: unity, progress, and purpose.
“Kindness will carry you where a dollar won’t spend,” her grandmother’s wisdom, remains the heartbeat of her campaign. With Waynette on the council, Tarrant gains a voice rooted in compassion, strategy, and community-first grit.
My Top Issues
Support urban revitalization and redevelopment
I would like to be a part of the rebuilding of Tarrant, centered around the community.
Expanding access to recreational programs
I would like to rebuild the relationship with the Parks and Rec board. The staff that we have are very dedicated and I would love to work with them to focus on the kids.
Thriving local businesses
I want to bring back farmers market to Tarrant. Allow the community to bring back money to themselves. When we show businesses we can support each other, they will know we will support them.
