My Top Issues

Economy

Host an annual small business expo showcasing diverse businesses, and connecting them to investors, mentors, and partners.

Economy

Map local hurdles—gather feedback from entrepreneurs and streamline permit processes accordingly.

Economy

I will: Establish a small business advisory council that meets quarterly, with SBDC, chamber, and SBA reps.

Economy

Partner with SBDC, Small Business Development Center & SBA, Small Business Administration to host monthly workshops covering finance, exporting, energy efficiency, and digital marketing.

Education

My administration will collaborate with: Alabaster City Schools to support early intervention programs, IEP services, and behavioral support resources in every school.

Arts / Culture

Expand city support for local festivals, cultural events, and small business fairs to celebrate our diversity and creativity.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Fix what’s broken. We’ve got roads that need real repairs and neighborhoods dealing with flooding when it rains. These are everyday issues that deserve real attention, not delays.

Infrastructure / Transportation

More sidewalks and safer spaces. People should feel safe walking their kids to school, heading to a park, or just enjoying their neighborhood. I’ll support projects that connect our community and improve additional walkability.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Strengthen enforcement of protective orders and ensure survivors of domestic violence have access to safe housing and legal support.

Economy

As mayor, I will champion policies that reduce barriers, provide resources, and create opportunities for entrepreneurs to grow, thrive, and continue enriching our community.

Infrastructure / Transportation

As Mayor, I’ll focus on making sure Alabaster’s infrastructure keeps up, starting with the basics.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Mental Health & Crisis Response Establish a co-responder model, where mental health professionals are available to accompany police during behavioral health calls.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Plan smarter for growth. As new homes and businesses go up, we need to make sure developers are helping with roads, drainage, and utilities, not leaving taxpayers to foot the bill later.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Bring in outside funding. There are state and federal dollars out there. We just need to go get them. I’ve written and managed grants before, and I’ll use that experience to bring in funds without raising local taxes.

Education

Alabaster is home to incredible teachers and dedicated administrators, and as mayor, I will work alongside them to ensure that no child is left behind. Every parent deserves to feel safe, supported, and empowered to advocate for their child’s educational and behavioral needs.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Bias-Free Policing Support implicit bias, de-escalation, and cultural competency training for all officers, updated annually.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

As mayor, I will be committed to working hand-in-hand with our police department to ensure that public safety is rooted in fairness, free from bias, and guided by accountability.

Infrastructure / Transportation

Make traffic better. Anyone who drives through Alabaster knows the pain points. I’ll work with state and county officials to ease congestion and improve flow, especially near schools and busy intersections.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Fund and support non-police crisis intervention teams to handle substance abuse and psychiatric emergencies. Partner with local hospitals and mental health agencies to ensure follow-up care.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

Support resource officers and school officials to address school-based violence, bullying, and mentorship gaps.

Criminal Justice / Public Safety

My administration will collaborate to promote: 1. Civilian Oversight & Transparency Create a civilian review board with real authority to investigate complaints of misconduct.
