Past Experience

My name is Zack Hatch, and I’m proud to announce my candidacy for Clinton City Council in the 2025 election. As a longtime Clinton resident, retired firefighter, small business owner, and youth coach, I’ve dedicated my life to serving others—and I’m ready to bring that same commitment to our city government. A Life of Service For nearly 20 years, I worked as a firefighter and paramedic, responding to emergencies and protecting our communities. That experience taught me the value of teamwork, staying calm under pressure, and always putting others first. When an injury ended my time in emergency service, I found new purpose in coaching. I launched Utah Speed and Strength, where I now train youth athletes from all over the area—helping them build confidence, character, and resilience. I’ve coached youth football for over a decade, and I’ve seen firsthand how strong mentorship and community support can change lives. My wife and I are raising our three children right here in Clinton. We love this city and the people who make it special. Why I'm Running I’m running for Clinton City Council because I want to protect what makes our city great—while helping us grow in a way that’s thoughtful, responsible, and focused on the long term. I want Clinton to stay a safe, welcoming place where families can raise their kids, neighbors can trust each other, and city services are responsive and reliable. I believe our city needs leaders who listen, who show up, and who are willing to have honest conversations about where we’re headed. Our community is changing. Growth is coming, whether we like it or not. The question is: Will we manage that growth with intention and care—or let it shape us without a plan? I want to be part of the solution. What Sets Me Apart I’m not a career politician. I’m a public servant with real-world experience, a local business owner, and a dad with kids in our schools. I know what it’s like to sit in the stands at Clinton youth sports games, to coach kids who are growing up in this town, and to talk with neighbors who care deeply about our city’s future. My background in emergency service taught me how to lead in tough moments, and my years as a coach taught me how to connect, motivate, and guide. I bring a steady hand, a calm voice, and a deep understanding of what it means to serve—not just represent. A Vision for Clinton Here’s what I believe Clinton needs now: Public safety first. Let’s make sure our police, fire, and EMS services stay fully supported as our city grows. Smart, balanced growth. New development should protect open space, respect existing neighborhoods, and match our infrastructure. Strong families and youth. I’ll advocate for parks, recreation, and youth programs that make Clinton a great place to raise kids. Fiscal responsibility. Every tax dollar should be spent wisely, with transparency and accountability. Open communication. I’ll listen, respond, and stay connected to the people I represent. Call to Action I’m running to be your voice on the Clinton City Council, and I hope to earn your trust—and your vote. Over the coming months, I’ll be knocking doors, hosting conversations, and listening to what matters most to you. If you’d like to get involved, endorse my campaign, volunteer, or donate, I’d be honored to have your support. Let’s work together to protect what makes Clinton special—and build a future we can all be proud of.

My Top Issues

Properly fund emergency services

As a retired firefighter/paramedic, Zack knows firsthand how essential our first responders are. He will champion the resources and respect ou police, fire and EMS teams need to serve and protect.

Implementing sound financial management practices to maintain balanced budgets

Taxpayer dollars must be managed wisely. Zack supports open budgeting, long-term planning, and common-sense spending that benefits the entire community. Transparent budgeting and reporting Invest in infrastructure, not bureaucracy Avoid unnecessary debt or waste.

Balance development with neighborhood preservation

Clinton is growing, and we need leadership that understands how to plan for the future without sacrificing our small-town feel. Balanced development that protects open space. Ensure roads, parks, and utilities keep pace with growth. Support zoning that fits our community values.
