The Library District Board oversees library operations within the district. Responsibilities of the Board include setting policy and approving the annual budget.
Candidate must be a qualified elector/registered voter of the library district, not in arrears in the payment of a tax or other indebtedness due to the library district, and has not been convicted in any court in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury or other felony at the time nomination papers are filed. Must be a resident of the Public Library District at least one year at the time nomination papers are filed. Must be at least 18 years of age.
Filing Requirements
Filing fee is $0; Signature requirement of at least 2% of the votes cast at the last election for library trustees, or 50, whichever is less.
