Eligibility requirements
Candidate must be a U.S. citizen (for at least 5 years), at least 30 years of age, and a registered voter. Candidate must be a resident of city for at least 5 years next preceding election. Candidate must have been an assessed taxpayer of city for 2 years next preceding election. Candidate must not have been convicted of malfeasance in office, bribery or other corrupt practice or crime.
