Eligibility requirements
The members of the Council shall be qualified voters of the City of Duncanville who have been residents of the State of Texas for at least one (1) year and residents of said City or residents of an area now within the corporate limits of said City for at least six (6) months, and shall hold no other public office except that of notary public or member of the National Guard or naval or military reserve. If a member of the Council shall cease to possess any of these qualifications or shall be finally convicted of a felony from which he has not been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disability, his office shall immediately become vacant.

With each signature shall be stated the place of residence of the signer, giving the street, number or other description sufficient to identify it.
