Economy Establishing business incubators to support the development of startups and small businesses by providing shared office space, mentorship, and resources. Infrastructure / Transportation Upgrading infrastructure, including city roads, utilities, and public transportation, to support economic development and improve overall connectivity. The roads are not growing fast enough to keep up with the continued residential growth. Infrastructure / Transportation Investing in the revitalization of the downtown area to attract businesses, enhance public spaces, and promote cultural and commercial activities. Agree to a standard look and feel to build a downtown that is to look like, provide incentives and funding to create a new look for Downtown to standardize on. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Public Safety is the most important platform item for me. The residents of the city need to feel safe, have the fastest response in the city and be proud of what are city is and will continue to as we grow into an even more amazing place to live! The Apopka Police Department, Fire Department, and our Public Utilities need to know the city has their safety in mind at all times, as well, by ensuring the proper safety procedures are in place, their equipment is regularly inspected and if needed, replaced. Our public workers need to have reliable equipment and the right tools to perform their tasks daily. This fosters a safe, efficient, and less stressful work environment that most will agree - Apopka is an amazing place to work. We need our public workers to know we, as a community, appreciate what these men and women do everyday to keep the city functioning and safe Criminal Justice / Public Safety Addressing hate crimes and discriminatory incidents, promoting inclusivity, and implementing measures to prevent bias-motivated offenses. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Addressing cybersecurity threats and educating the community about online safety to prevent cybercrimes and protect personal information. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Encouraging community involvement in public safety initiatives, including neighborhood watch programs, community patrols, and participation in local safety forums. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Implementing strategies to reduce burglaries and property crimes, such as enhancing neighborhood watch programs and improving security measures. Criminal Justice / Public Safety Monitoring and addressing crime rates, including property crime and violent crime, to ensure the safety of residents and visitors. Housing Supporting affordable housing projects to accommodate a diverse workforce and ensure that housing is accessible to employees in various income brackets. Taxes / Budget Publish detailed any of my individual contributions to budget information, financial reports, and expenditures regularly. Taxes / Budget I will provide clear explanations of budget allocations and spending decisions when asked. Taxes / Budget Advocate for regular independent audits of the city's finances and operations.
