Education Being a product of Broward County Public Schools, I know the importance of having amazing teachers, dedicated principles and a strong staff to keep our schools on a track to success. They hold the keys to unlocking our children's success but without reasonable pay raises we risk continuing to filter out amazing teachers, dedicated principals and other important staff members. Education Every safety precaution comes with its own set of pros and cons. I agree with the idea of having emergency intercom systems installed in order to prevent unprecedented evacuation during a school shooting. I just wish that the Broward County School Board had read and understood what they were voting on. I do feel that walk-through weapons-detection systems will deter students from bringing weapons into Broward County schools. Unfortunately, I do believe they will come with their own set of problems. Education I believe that every child deserves a better education and every child deserves to have an equal opportunity to succeed, if they are willing to put in the effort. I also believe that every PARENT deserves to be involved in the decision making of their child's education and every taxpayer deserves to know what their money is being spent on. Criminal Justice / Public Safety When I am elected, I will take the time to read every policy, document and contract that comes across my desk in order to ensure that your taxpayer dollars are not being misused. I will go above and beyond to read and educate myself on every policy and contract before agreeing to a vote. As for safety, I will continue to monitor the ongoing progress and educate myself on what other counties are successfully doing to protect their children. I strive to some day lead other counties on safety.
